Cole uses the microring resonator platform to design multiplexed immunoassays for clinical utility, focusing on panels for latent tuberculosis infection diagnostics, as well as chorioamnionitis in mother-neonate pairs.  He also works to evaluate analytical performance of antibodies using DNA-Ab conjugates for increased target binding capacity.

When not in lab, Cole enjoys reading novels, playing video games, listening to metal, and exploring the craft beer scene in Ann Arbor.
