Emily interfaces HPLC with the silicon photonic microring resonators as a refractive index based detector compatible for gradient separations. This method is applicable for the separation and characterization of polymers.

When not in lab, Emily enjoys watching movies, shopping, spending time with friends and family, cheering on Chicago Cubs and Hawks, as well as anything artsy including drawing, painting, and pottery.
