Jose is currently working on a proof of concept that could potentially lead to the detection of label-free molecular interactions in free solution. Specifically, he is using microfluidic chips to study the system’s sensitivity at different concentrations of NaCl.

When not in lab, Jose enjoys spending time with his friends, listening to music, and reading. He also enjoys doing what he’s not supposed to do and finding new places to explore. Oh, and he is also the recruiting chair for the ACS Student Chapter at UIUC.
