Josh uses microfluidic devices to study membrane proteins. He is interested in incorporating membrane proteins into nanodiscs, a model system for studying biological membranes.

In his free time, Josh likes to play basketball, read, relax by the pool, and cheer for the Chicago Blackhawks. He also enjoys watching the U of I basketball team in the hopes that they will finally have a championship caliber team. He is also quite resourceful with popsicle sticks.
